Hello again! Another week gone and now another month closer to saying good-bye to our South American home. Gosh it does go by quickly in the last months. But enough of that! Let's talk about our week!
School is in full swing and Mackenzie is wishy-washy about her feelings on school. New class, new teachers, new kids. When Mommy drops her off she clings to her but coyly smiles at the teachers. When Daddy drops her off she walks in like a boss. But she's all smiles when we pick her up and showing off her 'happy face' stamp on her hand. ( We're pretty sure she loves it.)

Finley turned 16 months old last Sunday! What?! She's getting so big! And this was the week of the walking. On said Sunday she practiced walking everywhere. All around the church, back and forth in the living room and making rounds in the kitchen. She is fully and independently walking now. It's equal parts adorable and liberating for all.

Scott has been really busy this week playing travel agent for himself, his family and us. He left on Saturday for a week long conference in Miami so that was one trip he planned. Next, his parents and older brother and family are visiting us at the end of March and we're going to Iguazu Falls so we needed to book the hotel. Another trip planned. Lastly, when his brother leaves, Scott and Kiersten will fly to Peru to visit Machu Picchu, finally, all thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Jackson who will stay here with the girls making this trip possible. Trip number three he planned. Seriously though, he's a terrific travel agent. Kiersten rates him 5 stars.

Kiersten has been busy with her many jobs. She started teaching piano again this week and rearranged her schedule to open up her evenings so no more driving at night and leaving Scott to deal with sleepy girls. She's also been getting more comfortable with her new job as a Day Trader and did pretty well for herself last week. Next, she is running a wellness challenge with the Embassy Community with the help of her amazing Wellness Committee. We hosted a 5K on Leap Day called the 'Leap, Run or Walk 5K'. Only about 10 people came because of the increasing cases of dengue but it was a fun time. Mackenzie flipped between sprinting and riding her scooter and Finley rode in the stroller for all of it. Then she put on her Quiz Master hat that same night for Trivia Night. Busy, busy but happy.

Harry Potter themed Trivia Night last weekend.

Today was our first full day without Daddy. We made it through church alive and Kiersten got both the girls to nap at the same time. A Sunday Miracle! We called grandparents and talked to Scott once he got to Miami. Then we made popcorn and watched Cars. All in all it was a really good day. Fingers crossed the rest of the week runs as smoothly.

The Mackenzie Update:
- When Mackenzie says her prays she occasionally thanks Heavenly Father for Santa and asks for "snow in Paraguay". I wish kid, I wish.

| The humidity is dropping so it's almost hammock season. We tested it out this week. |
- She is successfully sleeping without her gate up at night. This now means that we are occasionally woken up by a tiny face in ours in the middle of the night instead of a scream. Both are alarming in their own right.
- Speaking of bed time, this week she has decided she's big enough to get herself ready for bed all by herself. She'll clean up the bath toys, unplug the tub, climb out, dry off, get her nighttime diaper on and jammies and brush her hair and teeth all on her own. It's amazing and honestly couldn't have come at a better time. K has been able to put Finley to bed two nights in a row while Mackenzie is getting ready for bed herself. Win!
- Her favorite outfit: dresses.
- Favorite 'banana game': Monopoly Deal. And she knows her numbers so it's kind of educational too.

- Singing all the time. Usually Frozen songs with really good pitch and pretty accurate lyrics. She sometimes mixes up her repertoire with Christmas songs.
